Ol’ Johnny Mac is getting old and senile.
He might be keeping his head down right now. The radical right is tossing out the moderates at an alarming rate and McCain is a moderate.
Can you blame the guy? I wouldn’t care anymore either, you get shot down, tortured and held as a POW for years and your people choose a black community organiser from Chicago over you.
He is an opportunist and will go whichever way he thinks will get him reelected, conservatives have not forgotten his amnesty bill and the legislative roadblocks during the Bush years. McCain is more of a liberal than the media will admit.
He’s a loose cannon with no loyalty to anyone or anything but John McCain. His self-image is still that he is a maverick because he keeps changing positions with the wind. Anyone else he would say was “flip-flopping”. ∠°)

McCain seriously lost it during the final months of his campaign and hasn’t recovered since. I have the greatest respect for the man, but the politician has turned into a “RINO”, just like Arnold of California.
He will leave a legacy no doubt, but not the one he desired.
